Russell Todd is an acoustical consultant specializing in architectural acoustics for performing arts as well as educational and entertainment facilities. Russell is currently leading Akustiks' efforts on two significant projects in Brooklyn, NY: the new Barclays Center with Gehry Partners, and the Theatre for a New Audience with H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture. In addition, he is designing a major new conference center at Ground Zero in Manhattan with SHoP Architects, and the Maryland Center for the Performing Arts, Annapolis, Maryland. Russell is also working closely with Paul Scarbrough on the designs for the new Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas, Nevada. Recently completed projects include work with his Akustiks' partners on the  the new Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Siam Paragon Opera House, Bangkok, Thailand, the Nokia Theatre on Broadway and the renovation of the Plaza Theatre in El Paso, Texas.

Russell leads Akustiks' museum work on the expansion of the Cleveland Museum of Art with Rafael Viñoly Architects, the New National Museum of the Marine Corps, and the National Infantry Museum with Christopher Chadbourne & Associates.

Prior to forming Akustiks, Russell worked with two distinguished acoustical consulting firms, Jaffe Holden Scarbrough Acoustics and Pelton Marsh Kinsella. His prior work includes a broad range of performing arts, commercial, industrial and entertainment facilities. As a senior consultant with JHS Acoustics, Russell served as project manager for several high profile projects, including the renovations to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles; the Experience Music Project in Seattle; the Schuster Performing Arts Center in Dayton, Ohio and Weber Music Hall, a music performance laboratory at the University of Minnesota in Duluth.

As a consultant with Pelton Marsh Kinsella, Russell worked on such well-known projects as the "Twister" and Islands of Adventure attractions at Universal Studios in Orlando, the Milwaukee Brewers Ballpark and BankOne Ballpark, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. In the area of environmental and industrial acoustics, his work has included projects for Universal Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering in Orlando.

Russell graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. He holds memberships in the Acoustical Society of America and the Audio Engineering Society.
