In the last decade, sophisticated technologies have transformed the museum-going experience, providing rich and enhanced content for the visitor. Interactive and immersive are now the norm for delivering information and, with proper acoustical design, visitors can freely explore and experience exhibits without being confined by physical barriers for noise control. The ability to deliver aurally rich experiences without the use of walls, doors or other traditional means of acoustical control is key to this success.

Akustiks principals have worked on some of the most significant projects in recent years—from the Experience Music Project to The Marine Corps Museum —and have collaborated with design teams where acoustical solutions and audio system configurations have successfully integrated highly-sophisticated aesthetic, functional and acoustical requirements.
