Sound System Design

Sound Systems Design is an integral part of the design of any performance venue, whether a large arena for rock and roll, a concert hall for symphony orchestra or a small recital hall that also serves as a lecture facility. Principal Anthony Nittoli and associate Sam Brandt oversee this aspect of Akustiks continuing a working partnership that began more than ten years ago.

Several major considerations set Akustiks work apart
•  work with electrical engineers, structural engineers and HVAC consultants to see that
basic  building systems will support the loads demanded by the sound systems
•  work with the architects and their consultants to see that the system is integrated
seamlessly in the design of the building and that allowances are made at the initial design
stages for future expansion of the system
•  design systems that are technically complex and sophisticated while being simple to
operate for personnel in the venue
•  testing and commissioning of systems and hands-on training for facility personnel

Several other factors are important in maintaining high performance standards
•  a first-hand experience with all the equipment specified
•  up-to-date knowledge of all new technologies and equipment
•  detailed drawings that ensure all specifications are meet by the contractors
•  a pre-qualified list of contractors who work to the highest standards

We now have a sound system that is capable of being used or any kind of show and that sounds great doing it.”
